CALLING ALL BEAT-INCLINED LONDONERS: Only 48 hours to Friday's Beat Bonanza benefiting cancer research with Rapier Neil Ainsby and former Rapier Brad Dallaston joining ex-Kaisers Matt and Johnny in The Rave Men, at London's Boston Music Room, 178 Junction Road, Tufnell Park. Tickets only £8.50. Details here.
Jot it down as the first ever co-mingling of two beloved combos, truly brothers in British '60s Beat. Plus you'll get to witness (Shazam!) our Neil handling lead guitar duties, surely worth the price of admission. During breaks, Rapiers and Kaisers producer Liam Watson spins sides. And there's a twist contest. Sounds a right gas.
Hmm-and guess who's been roped in for compere duties for the twist competition-time to dust off the 60's shawl collat dinner suit and diamonte under-collar bow tie! :)

Actually Neil, I've just picked up a fab, genuine 60s mohair, slim lapelled dinner jacket from a charity shop. Very James Bond! (Connery, obviously ;)

Wow! What a blast-Dusted off some Kaisers gems-including "Watcha Say" which we opened with, "Valley of the Kaisers" "Don't Ask Me" (which I believe Matt penned. Matt actually managed to get himself up to speed by getting his parts nailed while at home in Scotland then with just one rehearsal the night before, slotted in like that missing piece of jigsaw! Lovely to see Mauro (Buddy) and the guys from Pete Berry and the Shake set there! More news to follow! :)
